Dominic Wales

Dominic Wales is a Senior Application Scientist at the Henry Royce Institute since April 2023, leading the Circular Economy Theme within projects such as EconoMISER and FISC, engaging with industry to develop and manage complex technical proposals, and mentoring early career scientists. Previously, Dominic served as a Research Associate at Imperial College London focusing on 3D printing of soft materials for sensor and healthcare applications, and held roles as a Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham and Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Southampton, where advanced materials and characterisation techniques were predominant. With a comprehensive academic background culminating in a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Southampton, Dominic possesses expertise in supramolecular chemistry, materials characterisation, funding acquisition, and project management across various research environments.
