Cari Murray has extensive experience in the marketing and communications field. Cari began their career in 2005 as a Public Relations Intern at The Opportunity Council. In 2005, they also began their role as Editorial Manager at Vocus Inc., where they hired, trained, and managed 15 editorial representatives for the 24/7 international news service. Cari wrote, edited, and updated millions of press releases, training documents, and marketing collateral, as well as consulted with thousands of clients across various industries. In 2007, they were promoted to a management role and relocated to D.C. to open a new branch of PRWeb at Vocus Headquarters. From 2010 to 2015, they worked as a Senior Content Strategist at Waggener Edstrom Communications. Cari then moved to Mighty AI (acquired by Uber) in 2017 as the Director of Content Strategy & Marketing. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Senior Content Marketing Manager at Accolade, Inc. and then as a Senior Manager of Content Marketing at Outreach. Currently, they are the Director of Marketing at Marvin, where they partner with a group of people to simplify customer research for UX researchers, designers, product teams, consultants, and more.
Cari Murray obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Psychology from Western Washington University between 2001 and 2005. Cari then went on to obtain their Master of Arts in Communication and Leadership from Gonzaga University between 2010 and 2012. In 2021, they earned their Inbound Marketing Certified certification from HubSpot Academy. In 2022, they obtained their Learning Community certification from Reforge.
