Mukul Soman

Mukul Soman has a diverse range of experience in the arts and digital media industry. Mukul has worked as a Project Art Director at Hidden Path Entertainment, where they provided artistic leadership to the art team and managed the overall artistic vision of projects. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Lighting Artist at the same company, collaborating with other artists and technical teams to develop and implement lighting pipelines.

In addition to their work at Hidden Path Entertainment, Mukul has held various roles in different companies. Mukul worked as a Photographer & Educator at their own website, mukulsoman.com, specializing in wildlife and nature photography, as well as conducting workshops and mentorships. Mukul also served as an Art Director - Hardware at Apple, where they directed CGI and photography for Apple products and created detailed specifications for their digital counterparts.

At Amazon, Mukul worked as a Lighting Art Lead, overseeing all lighting art and skybox design. Mukul also served as a Senior Lighting Artist at Wargaming and Monolith Productions, where they created lighting designs and collaborated with various teams to implement new lighting technology.

Mukul's early career includes roles as a Skybox Artist at 343 Industries, where they built environments and skyboxes for the Halo franchise, and as a Virtual Cinematographer at Turn 10 Studios, where they created in-game cinematics for Forza Motorsport 5. Mukul also worked as a Matte Painter and Director of Photography at The Base Studio and as a Matte Painter/Skybox Artist at 343 Industries.

Mukul Soman completed their education with a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Visual Effects from the Academy of Art University from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) in Computer Science from Bangalore University from 2005 to 2008. Mukul also obtained a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) in Computer Science from Bangalore University from 2002 to 2005. Mukul'searlier education took place at Chinmaya Vidyalaya from 1989 to 2002, although no specific degree or field of study was mentioned for this period.
