Linus Ekstrøm is a scientist at Honda Research Institute Europe GmbH since January 2023, focusing on integer optimization methods and real-world applications of the Quantum Approximate Optimization Algorithm (QAOA) for electric vehicle charge scheduling within the NeQST program. Prior experience includes positions as a cleaner at Brandl, group teacher for Applied Data Analysis and Machine Learning at the University of Oslo, and as a scientific assistant developing curriculum on unsupervised learning techniques. Linus also interned as a prototype engineer at REM Analytics, working on microfluidic chip development, and served as a math and physics tutor at Golden Academy Norge AS. Linus holds a Master’s degree in Quantum Computing and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics, both from the University of Oslo.
