Mark Hourigan Jr. has a diverse work experience in the construction and real estate industry. Mark started their career as a Carpenter/Laborer at Hourigan Construction in 2009. In 2011, they worked as a Superintendent Assistant and Assistant to Project Manager at Hourigan Construction. Mark then interned as an Estimating and Project Management Intern at Atlantic Constructors in 2012 and Chewning & Wilmer, Inc. in 2013. In 2014, they interned as a Real Estate Development & Investment Intern at Lingerfelt CommonWealth Partners. Mark continued their career as a Project Management Intern at Hourigan Construction in 2015. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at Layton Construction as a Project Engineer and later as an Assistant Project Manager. Since 2019, they have been working at Hourigan as an Assistant Project Manager, and as of July 2021, they hold the position of Project Manager / Partner.
Mark Hourigan Jr. attended Virginia Tech from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.), magna cum laude, with a double major in Building Construction and Real Estate. Mark also pursued a minor in Business Leadership during their time at the university. In addition to their degree, Mark obtained an OSHA 30 Hour Certification from OSHA in August 2015.
