Yannick Morel is a seasoned researcher and engineer with extensive experience in robotics and interdisciplinary fields. Currently serving as Research Coordinator at the Human Brain Project since May 2020, Yannick oversees the neurorobotics workplan and the coordination of scientific agendas within the project. Prior roles include Software Development Coordinator at the Human Brain Project, where responsibilities encompassed the implementation of the EBRAINS research infrastructure, and Project Manager at Technical University Munich, focusing on technology transfer in robotics. Yannick's earlier experience includes senior engineering roles at Thales and CEA, as well as postdoctoral research at EPFL, contributing to advancements in bio-inspired robotics and control systems. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and Master's degrees in Ocean Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Florida Atlantic University and Institut supérieur d'électronique et du numérique, respectively.
