Dani Southard

Dani Southard serves as the Wildfire Mitigation Program Manager at Idaho Power, overseeing the development and execution of the Wildfire Mitigation Plan and collaborating with federal and state agencies on mitigation strategies. Previously, Dani worked as a Senior Environmental Planner at ICF, focusing on natural resource and renewable energy projects while ensuring compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act. Dani's experience also includes roles as the Northern Rockies Regional Director for the National Forest Foundation, where regional forest restoration programs were developed, and as the Central Idaho Director for the Idaho Conservation League, managing public lands and wildlife conservation initiatives. Early career positions included research at Oregon State University, lodge management in Alaska, and program management and education outreach at the Anchorage Museum. Dani holds a Master of Science in Environmental Science from Oregon State University and a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management from Colorado State University.
