Werner Kreuzer

Werner Kreuzer currently serves as the Head of the Patent Team in Physics at the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property since May 2019. Previously, Werner held the position of Human Factors Engineer at LivaNova, where a Human Factors Engineering process was established in accordance with FDA recommendations. From November 2005 to January 2016, Werner worked as the Standards Manager at BlackBerry/Research In Motion, overseeing standards-relevant patents and providing support for patent prosecution and litigation. Additionally, Werner chaired the 3GPP TSG GERAN WG1 from May 2009 to May 2013, focusing on radio performance, interface specifications, and conformance tests for GERAN Base Stations. With experience as an R&D Engineer at Siemens and research roles at KU Leuven and Vienna University of Technology, Werner's educational background includes a degree in Communications Engineering from Technische Universität Wien and various ongoing studies related to intellectual property rights and patent engineering.
