Mélissa Trovoada Darko has a diverse and extensive work experience. Mélissa started their career as an Intern at Marsh in 2005, where they worked as a Special Adviser in Civil Liability for Large Accounts. In 2007, they interned at Allen & Overy, specializing in International Capital Markets. Mélissa also interned at King and Spalding as a Corporate Intern during the same year.
In 2008, Mélissa joined Linklaters as a Trainee/Elève-Avocat, focusing on Capital Markets. From 2009 to 2014, they worked at Allen & Overy as a Banking & Project Finance Lawyer.
Mélissa's career then took a turn towards the telecommunications industry when they joined IHS Towers in 2014. Starting as the Head of Legal in London, they eventually became the Vice President & Associate General Counsel. Currently, they hold the positions of Senior Vice President & Associate General Counsel and Head of the UK Office at IHS Towers.
Throughout their career, Mélissa has gained expertise in various legal aspects, with a particular focus on telecommunications and infrastructure.
Mélissa Trovoada Darko obtained their French Bar qualification from the Centre Régional de Formation Professionnelle des Avocats de Versailles in 2007-2008. Mélissa then pursued a Master's degree in Finance and Banking Law at Paris-Pantheon-Assas University. Mélissa also completed a Master's degree in Business Law at Université Paris Nanterre. Additionally, they obtained a Master's degree in German Law from the University of Düsseldorf. Mélissa is also certified as an Avocat à la Cour by the Barreau de Paris (Ordre des avocats de Paris).
