Anil Kumar Tripathi

Anil Tripathi is a distinguished academic and researcher currently serving as the Director of IISER Mohali since April 2024 and Director at the Institute of Science - Banaras Hindu University since February 2019. With a longstanding affiliation to Banaras Hindu University since March 1990, Anil Tripathi holds the position of Professor of Biotechnology and has coordinated the DBT BHU Interdisciplinary School of Life Sciences. Previous roles include Mission Director of CSIR Aroma Mission and Director of CIMAP from February 2014 to January 2019, and coordinator of the IORA RCSTT Coordination Centre on Medicinal Plants. Anil Tripathi's academic journey began with a Ph.D. in Botany from Banaras Hindu University, focusing on the genetic engineering of Azospirillum for nitrogen fixation.
