Shauna Ejeh has a diverse work experience spanning various leadership roles in non-profit organizations. Shauna served as the Senior Vice President of Programs at Illinois Action for Children, where they provided strategic direction for federal, state, and foundation funded programming. Additionally, they led initiatives to implement racial equity and trauma-informed practice. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of Workforce Development at the same organization.
Before their time at Illinois Action for Children, Shauna was the Executive Director of Baby TALK, Inc., where they directed all programming and represented the organization externally. Shauna also held the role of Associate Illinois Head Start State Collaboration Director at Illinois Head Start Association.
Earlier in their career, Shauna worked at Baby TALK as a Director and Home Visitor, where they recruited and supported expectant moms and families with young children. Shauna also advocated for increased funding on behalf of the program.
Shauna's experience also includes serving as the Executive Director of the Women's Fund for the Fox Valley Region and holding various positions at the National Association of College Stores and the National Family Planning & Reproductive Health Association, where they handled program planning, budgeting, and management responsibilities for meetings and events.
Shauna Ejeh has a strong educational background in the field of communications. Shauna attended Vanier College from 1983 to 1985 and obtained a Diplome Educatif Generales de College with a concentration in Social Sciences. After completing their studies at Vanier College, Shauna Ejeh went on to pursue higher education at American University. From 1985 to 1989, they pursued their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Public Communications at American University. Following their undergraduate studies, they continued their education at American University and earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Public Communications from 1988 to 1989.
