Trey Monson

Trey Monson has been working in the software development and system administration fields since 1991. Trey began their career at Pagenet as a Unix Administrator, then moved to Caprock Communications in 2001 in the same role. In 2002, they joined USA Mobility as a Unix Administrator, and in 2005, they held the same role at both Alliance Data and Direct Energy. From 2010 to 2013, Trey worked as a Senior Unix System Administrator, Contractor at Texas Instruments. Trey then moved to Capital One where they held roles as an AWS Certified: Developer Associate and a Unix Engineer/Architect. Trey is currently employed at Illuma as a Software Developer.

Trey Monson obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Southeastern Louisiana University between 1985 and 1989. Trey also holds certifications from the Python Institute, CloudBees, Inc., and Amazon Web Services (AWS). These certifications include PCEP / Python Certified Entry Level Programmer (obtained in June 2020), CloudBees Jenkins Engineer (obtained in August 2017), AWS Certified Developer Associate (obtained in October 2019), and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.
