Cody Combs

Cody Combs is a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at Illumina, having joined the company in July 2022. Prior to this role, Cody served as a Graduate Student Researcher and Teaching Assistant at UC Irvine from September 2016 to July 2022, where a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics was pursued. Earlier experience includes working as a Laboratory Technician at The College of New Jersey, where responsibilities involved setting up physics lab experiments and repairing equipment, as well as a Research Assistant at Argonne National Laboratory, focusing on designing a prototype for an inductive level sensor. Cody also worked as an Academic Tutor at The College of New Jersey from September 2013 to May 2014, assisting college students in physics and mathematics courses. Cody holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from The College of New Jersey, completing the degree in 2016.
