Yang Cao

Yang Cao is a Senior Scientist at Illumina since May 2022, specializing in the development of commercial kits for next-generation sequencing assays. Prior to this role, Yang served as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at The Babraham Institute from May 2020 to May 2022, focusing on transcription regulatory elements in human induced pluripotent stem cells through STARR-seq. Yang also worked as a Research Associate at the University of Cambridge from November 2018 to April 2020, conducting genome structure studies related to mammalian cell differentiation. Yang holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology from the University of Cambridge (2014-2019) and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Bristol (2011-2014).
