Nelly El-Sakkary

Nelly El-Sakkary, PhD, is a highly experienced research scientist currently employed at Inception Therapeutics since November 2023. Previously, Nelly served as a Senior Research Scientist at Trotana Therapeutics, focusing on small molecule drug screening, cell culture, and molecular biology techniques. Nelly's postdoctoral research at the University of California San Diego involved the use of chemical and genetic approaches to identify drug efficacy markers, utilizing high-content imaging and next-generation RNA sequencing. Nelly also has experience as a teaching assistant for a graduate-level laboratory techniques course at McGill University. Nelly holds a PhD in Molecular Parasitology from McGill University and a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Immunology from the same institution.
