Ananya Shuman Mukherjee has a diverse range of work experience in the hospitality industry. Ananya began their career with Taj Hotels in 2005 as an Industrial Trainee at Taj Palace, New Delhi. Following this, they had an On-The-Job Training at Taj Mahal, New Delhi in 2006, where they gained experience in various operations departments.

In 2007, Ananya joined Taj Samudra in Colombo, Sri Lanka as an Industrial Understudy in the Front Office department. During their time there, they conducted a comprehensive project on "Customer Satisfaction Strategies at the Front Desk", which involved analyzing operational procedures, sales, human resources, and inter-departmental coordination.

Ananya returned to Taj Hotels and held several positions in the Sales and Marketing departments. From 2009 to 2012, they served as an Assistant Manager Sales at the Regional Sales and Marketing Office in Delhi and Chennai, respectively. Ananya was responsible for managing key global accounts, generating revenue, and facilitating long-stay and conference lead generation.

In 2012, Ananya joined JW Marriott in New Delhi as an Assistant Manager Sales, where they played a crucial role in managing a portfolio of embassies, high commissions, and international organizations during the pre-opening phase of the hotel. Ananya also served as an Assistant Account Sales Manager at JW Marriott Hotel New Delhi Aerocity for a brief period in 2014.

Ananya then returned to Taj Hotels in 2014 and took on the role of PR and Marketing Manager at Taj City Centre, Gurugram. Ananya successfully led the strategic brand transformation of the hotel from Vivanta to Taj. In 2018, they were promoted to Director of PR and Marketing at Taj Palace, New Delhi, before assuming their current role as Head PR for Rajasthan & Uttarakhand and Director of PR & Marketing at Taj Palace, New Delhi in December 2021.

Additionally, from 2005 to 2008, they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Doctor Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University.
