Sjoerd van Ballegooy

Sjoerd van Ballegooy is the founder and co-CEO of InfinityStudio.AI, an early-stage start-up dedicated to developing a geotechnical and natural hazards AI/ML enabled platform that offers Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions for engineering and disaster response professionals. With extensive experience as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Tonkin & Taylor from May 2005 to February 2023, Sjoerd also held the position of Commercial Researcher and Hydraulic Engineer at Uniservices Ltd between 2000 and 2005. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Civil Engineering at The University of Auckland since 2006, Sjoerd previously earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the same institution in 2002.
