Alessandro Mazzetti

Alessandro Mazzetti serves as the Head of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Deputy Managing Director at the University of Basel since May 2018, where responsibilities include fostering a culture of innovation through entrepreneurial education, startup creation, and industry collaborations. Additionally, Alessandro leads innovation collaborations, focusing on corporate relations and strategic initiatives to bolster the Basel startup ecosystem. Prior experience includes roles at BlueThink SpA as a Technologist, managing R&D projects, and a PhD in Mathematical Models and Methods in Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. Educational achievements include an M.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering and a B.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, along with a foundational education in sciences and languages.
