Erin Hurley, PhD, currently serves as a Scientist at Insmed Incorporated since August 2023. Prior to this role, Erin was a Postdoctoral Researcher and Graduate Student Researcher at The University of Texas at San Antonio from July 2018 to August 2023, focusing on human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cortical organoids to investigate the mechanisms of Alzheimer's disease under the mentorship of Dr. Jenny Hsieh. Earlier experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at the University of Connecticut from June 2016 to June 2018, contributing to studies on pharmacology's effects on rodent motivation and on the impacts of traumatic brain injury on discourse. Erin holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Neurobiology and Neurosciences from The University of Texas at San Antonio and a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science with a concentration in Neuroscience from the University of Connecticut, complemented by a brief academic experience at University College Dublin in 2016.
