Julie Legakis

Julie Legakis has over 20 years of work experience, starting with their most recent role as an Associate Director of Medical Writing at Insmed Incorporated. Before that, they worked as a Medical Writer at Biotech. From 2015 to 2023, they were a Medical Writer at MMS Holdings Inc. Prior to that, they were a Research Associate and Protocol Coordinator at the NIH Perinatology Research Branch from 2013 to 2015. Julie also served as a Senior Research Associate at the Children's Hospital of Michigan from 2008 to 2013, where they managed and coordinated research projects. Julie started their career as a Proteomics Applications Scientist at Digilab Genomic Solutions in 2007. Julie holds a Ph.D. and began their professional journey as a Post-doctoral Fellow at the University of Michigan from 2003 to 2007.

Julie Legakis pursued their education in a systematic manner, starting with their undergraduate studies in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Michigan from 1990 to 1994. Julie then went on to specialize in Pharmacology, earning their Ph.D. from Wayne State University School of Medicine between 1998 and 2002.
