Rehana Ramcharitar

Rehana Ramcharitar has a diverse work experience history. From December 2020 to the present, they worked as a Client Service Specialist at InstaMed, a J.P. Morgan company. In this role, they performed root-cause analysis, suggested workarounds for technical issues on InstaMed's healthcare payments platform, and managed customer incident data through the use of Salesforce. Rehana maintained contact with over 50 customers and business partners daily.

Prior to their work at InstaMed, Rehana served as a Peer Advisor at Temple University College of Liberal Arts from May 2017 to September 2020. In this position, they provided front-line assistance in the advising center, managed student data for specialized outreach, and coordinated academic advisors' schedules.

From August 2019 to May 2020, Rehana was a Conversation Partner at Temple University Student Success Center. In this role, they engaged English and Spanish language learners in conversation practice to improve their speaking skills and acted as a cultural ambassador for international students.

In 2018, Rehana gained legal experience as a Legal Intern in Drug Treatment Court at the Defender Association of Philadelphia. Their responsibilities included explaining the legal implications of attending Drug Treatment Court to eligible defendants, attending hearings to gather client information, and assisting the defense.

Additionally, Rehana has worked as a Vocational Literacy Tutor at the Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians (July-August 2018) and as a Volunteer at the Free Library of Philadelphia (June 2013-September 2014).

Rehana Ramcharitar earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Spanish from Temple University College of Liberal Arts, where they studied from 2016 to 2020. In 2019, they also took part in an intensive Spanish program for foreigners at the University of Oviedo in Spain. Prior to their college education, they attended Central High School of Philadelphia from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree.
