Kristy Colella is a seasoned professional in the field of research and data analysis, currently serving as a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst at the Institute for Intergovernmental Research since February 2017, where previous roles included Senior Applied Research Specialist and Senior Research Associate. Prior experience includes a position as a Research and Data Analyst at the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice from August 2015 to February 2017, where responsibilities involved analyzing large datasets and assessing legislative impacts. Kristy began their career as a Research Apprentice and interned as a Major Crimes intern with the Public Defender's Office. Academically, Kristy holds a Master of Science in Criminology and a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and Criminology, both from Florida State University.
