Alexandros Karagiannakos has a range of work experience in various scientific and research roles. Alexandros started working at Intelligencia in 2023 as a Scientific Associate. Prior to that, they also worked as a Scientific Associate at the same company from February to June 2023. From 2020 to 2022, Alexandros worked as a Research Project Manager at the National Hellenic Research Foundation, where they were responsible for cancer research direction, data analysis, visualization, and scientific paper authorship. In 2019, they served as a Veterinary Lab Assistant in the Greek Army. Lastly, from 2017 to 2019, Alexandros worked on their Diploma Thesis at the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens.
Alexandros Karagiannakos completed a Master's degree in Oncology and Cancer Biology from the University of Crete from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, completing their studies between 2014 and 2019. In addition to their formal education, Alexandros holds several certifications. In August 2020, they obtained a certification in "Using Python for Research" from HarvardX, and in June 2020, they completed the "Python for Everybody Specialization" from the University of Michigan. In May 2023, they obtained two certifications related to Excel for Beginners, one on Advanced Functions and another on Sorting, Filtering, and Data-Validation, both from Coursera. Alexandros also holds a certificate of proficiency in English, which they obtained in May 2012 from the Hellenic American Union.
