Alise Barvika currently serves as the Deputy Head of the Investment Promotion Division at the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia, a position held since June 2024. Prior to this, Alise was a member of the board for the Finnish-Latvian Trade Association from April 2016 to July 2024 and worked as the Head of the Representative Office in Finland at the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia from October 2007 to July 2024, focusing on enhancing Finnish-Latvian cooperation and promoting Latvian exports. Alise has extensive experience in project management, particularly in organizing trade missions and national pavilions, and previously worked as a freelance interpreter for the European Parliament from 2005 to 2010 and as a market research analyst at the Embassy of Italy in Latvia from 2004 to 2007. Alise holds an MBA from Latvijas Universitate and has pursued further education at multiple institutions, including the University of Tartu and Russian State University for Humanities.
