Susan Ramsey

Susan Ramsey has over 35 years of experience in communications and media. Susan is currently serving as the Director of Communications at Iowa PBS since January 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Iowa Public Television for five years as the Communications Director, leading a team of 14 in internal and external communications, public relations, and marketing. Susan also has experience as the Senior VP of Communications/Marketing at the Greater Des Moines Partnership, where they managed regional marketing programs and publications. Earlier in their career, they held positions at ABC5, KOAT TV Channel 7, and KKOB AM Radio, gaining experience in news production, assignments editing, and anchoring.

Susan Ramsey completed a degree in Journalism/Mass Communications with a focus on broadcast media, telecommunications, art, and dance from Iowa State University from 1978 to 1982. Susan also pursued graduate studies in Strategic Communications at the University of Iowa in 2011.
