Carl Bilicska

Carl Bilicska has a diverse work experience in the field of intellectual property and licensing. Carl is currently working as the Vice President and IP Counsel at IPValue since August 2018. Prior to that, they were a Partner, VP Licensing & Senior Counsel at TnT IP, LLC from April 2016 to August 2018. In this role, they were responsible for designing and implementing business strategy, performing valuation analysis of patent portfolios, and creating best practices for patent monetization activities.

Before joining TnT IP, LLC, Carl worked at Alcatel-Lucent for a significant part of their career. Carl held various roles including Senior IP Corporate Counsel, Senior Patent Segment Manager, and Member of the Technical Staff. As Senior IP Corporate Counsel, they led and supported licensing negotiations for over 75 companies and was involved in patent creation, evaluation, and licensing. As Senior Patent Segment Manager, they developed licensing opportunities and identified new patents used in Alcatel-Lucent assertions.

Carl also worked at AT&T as a Member of the Technical Staff before joining Alcatel-Lucent. In this role, they were involved in all phases of the design process and managed projects related to hardware/software product development.

Carl Bilicska earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology from 1985 to 1988. Carl then pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the same institution, completing it from 1989 to 1993. Later, Carl attended Rutgers Law School, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law with a focus on Intellectual Property / Patent Law, graduating from 2005 to 2009.
