Steve DeRosa

Steve DeRosa has a diverse work experience in software engineering. Steve most recently worked at Jariet Technologies, Inc. as a Staff Software Engineer starting in October 2020. Prior to that, they were at Thales from October 2018 to May 2020, where they served as a Principal Software Development Engineer in Test. In this role, they led the testing of avionic in-flight entertainment systems and developed automated testing systems using Python, C++, Java, and Golang. From June 2016 to September 2018, they worked at Broadcom Inc. as a Principal Test Automation Systems Engineer, focusing on validating and debugging IP-based set-top boxes. Steve also refactored and recoded a C# test automation framework. Before that, Steve worked at Microsemi Corporation from June 2014 to May 2016, where they were a Staff System Validation Engineer. Steve automated test cases for SSD solutions and developed a database and web interface for data collection and analysis. From March 2006 to June 2014, they were a Senior System Validation Test Engineer at PMC-Sierra (now Microsemi), where they conducted chip- and board-level validation testing on serial protocol devices and SSDs. Steve also created a database and website for real-time data analysis. Prior to that, they worked at Agilent Technologies as a System Validation Design Engineer from August 2001 to March 2006, focusing on Fibre Channel ASIC testing and automated test frameworks. Steve began their career at HP as a Software Engineer from October 1998 to August 2001, where they developed firmware code and enterprise storage management software. Steve also led a team in the design and development of a Fibre Channel diagnostic tool. Before that, they worked at Aerojet Rocketdyne as a Software Engineer from April 1997 to July 1998, writing software for rocket engine controllers and contributing to a custom controller RTOS kernel.
