Joseph Allen

Joseph Allen is a Research and Development Engineer at JDR Cable Systems, specializing in friction rig analysis, polymer creep investigation, and midscale fatigue tests. Previous roles include Graduate Engineer with a focus on multiscale modeling, material characterization, and test rig design, as well as project engineering and cable design. Joseph has extensive experience in signal processing, data visualization, and automation using Python, AutoCAD, MATLAB, and Excel. Prior to JDR Cable Systems, Joseph worked as a mail sorter at Angard Staffing and gained customer service experience in various roles, including waitstaff at Chester Race Company Ltd. Joseph holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Newcastle University and has pursued additional microcredentials in Low Carbon Power Technology and Aeroelasticity.
