Kavya Devarakonda

Kavya Devarakonda, PhD, has extensive experience in neuroscience and professional development. Currently serving as a Neuronline writer and contributor for the Society for Neuroscience since June 2015, Kavya writes articles on mentorship and career paths. Previous positions include Graduate Research Assistant at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, focusing on the role of medial amygdala neurons in stress and blood glucose homeostasis, and a Postbaccalaureate Intramural Research Training Award Fellow at the National Institutes of Health, where investigations centered on dopamine D2 receptor expression and obesity.
