System Simulation Engineer at Joby Aviation

Grace Wijaya has a strong background in engineering and research. Grace is currently employed as a System Simulation Engineer at Joby Aviation. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2019 to 2021. Grace also gained experience as a Vehicle Hardware Integration Intern at Waymo in 2019 and as a Structures Integration Intern at Airbus from 2017 to 2018. Grace has also been involved in academic research, working as a Student Researcher at McGill University's Additive Design and Manufacturing Lab in 2016 and at the University of Calgary's Fluid Mechanics department in 2015. Additionally, they have leadership experience as a Squadron Commander at the 781 "Calgary" Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron from 2008 to 2014, where they led a squadron of 160 cadets and earned their glider and private pilot licenses.

Grace Wijaya has a strong education background in the field of engineering and aeronautics. Grace completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering - Internship Program from McGill University in the years 2014 to 2019. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Aeronautics & Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, graduating in 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Grace has obtained two certifications related to piloting. In August 2013, they acquired a Private Pilot License with Night Rating from Transport Canada - Transports Canada. Grace also obtained a Glider Pilot License from the same institution in August 2012. These certifications showcase their practical skills and experience in aviation.
