Ruo Jin Yan

Ruo Jin Yan has extensive work experience in the technology industry. They started their career in 2010 as a Teaching Assistant at UBC, where they lectured programming knowledge to students and provided feedback on their coding. In 2012, they worked as an Open Source Blackberry OS 10 Developer at Research In Motion, where they developed native programs for Blackberry OS 10 devices and collaborated with a remote team. From 2016 to 2017, they worked as an Android Developer at Generate Software Inc, focusing on developing applications for Android devices. They then joined Electronic Arts (EA) in 2017 as a Technical Interface Designer and later as a UI Engineer. In 2018, they transitioned to the role of a Technical Artist at EA. Most recently, starting in November 2019, they are working as a Frontend Engineer at Kabam.

Ruo Jin Yan completed a Master's degree in Digital Media at the Centre for Digital Media during the period of 2015 to 2016. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2014, Ruo Jin Yan pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science and Art History at The University of British Columbia.
