Zhiyu Luo

Zhiyu (Fredrik) Luo is an experienced engineering leader with a robust background in software development and technology management. Currently serving as Vice President of Engineering at Kahoot! since October 2017, Zhiyu has held various engineering leadership roles, including Director and Head of Engineering. Prior to this, a temporary position as Technical Expert at Opera Software AS allowed Zhiyu to contribute to the design and architecture of several key projects. From 2012 to 2017, as CTO and VP of Engineering at Oupeng Beijing, Zhiyu directed engineering efforts for the company's joint venture, emphasizing technology roadmaps and resource management. Previous roles at Opera Software included Chief Architect, where Zhiyu oversaw software architecture development, and Software Engineer, focusing on mobile browser solutions for low-profile devices. Zhiyu began the career as a Unix Developer at Opera Software, after earning a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 2004.
