Christian Albrecht

Christian Albrecht has extensive experience in public administration and economic policy, currently serving as a board member at Regionalverkehr Bern-Solothurn RBS since June 2016 and as Secretary General of the Canton of Bern since July 2007. Notable prior roles include acting head of the Office for Land and Buildings of the Canton of Bern from June 2020 to March 2021, and a six-year tenure as chief of the Transport Policy section at the Federal Office for Spatial Development ARE, where Christian Albrecht led significant infrastructure projects. Additional experience includes a deputy department head role at SECO, participation in international climate negotiations, and contributions to various environmental initiatives at the Federal Office for the Environment. Academic qualifications encompass a CAS for Board Members from Rochester-Bern Executive Programs and a degree in economics, computer science, and political science from the University of Bern.
