Karen Prettypaul

Karen Prettypaul is a dedicated professional currently serving as a Lab Intern at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation since September 2022, where collaboration with a research scientist and assistants involves monitoring gait in recovering stroke patients using an exoskeleton to enhance understanding of stroke recovery. Alongside this role, Karen has been a Pharmacy Technician at CVS Pharmacy since August 2020, responsible for supporting medical professionals in patient care, preparing medications, and ensuring pharmacy safety. Previously, an internship at Englewood Hospital in the Biomedical Engineering Department included responsibilities such as maintaining patient functionality by repairing equipment during surgeries. Karen holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Montclair State University, achieved in May 2023, and a High School Diploma in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the Academies at Englewood, completed in June 2019.
