Ton van der Steen

Ton Van Der Steen is a distinguished academic and leader in the fields of Biomedical Engineering and Physics, currently serving as a Founding Board Member of the Netherlands Academy of Engineering and as Chairman of the Domain Natural Sciences and Engineering at KNAW. As a Professor in Biomedical Engineering at ErasmusMC and a Professor in Physics at TU Delft, Van Der Steen combines academic rigor with practical application, exemplified by the role as Co-Founder of Kaminari Medical. Additionally, Van Der Steen holds various honorary and leadership positions, including Honorary Visiting Professor at the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology and Chairman of the Medical Delta initiative. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Medical Sciences from Radboud University and an M.Sc. in Applied Physics from Delft University of Technology.
