Jacob Koopmans is the current Chief Commercial Officer at Kneip. Prior to this, they were the Head of Sales at Refinitiv from October 2018 to December 2020. In this role, they led the team of expert sales across all Refinitiv's sales functions (Data & Platform, Trading, I&A, Wealth and Risk) with the mandate to execute on Refinitiv's strategy.
Under Jacob's leadership, the team achieved increased sales and pioneered and implemented a new sales and operating model across the region. Jacob also attracted market leading talent through an excellent network, designed and executed pricing strategies to maximise revenue, and created partnership strategies to develop additional revenue channels. As a result of these efforts, staff morale was enhanced by 21% and customer satisfaction by 12%.
Prior to their role at Refinitiv, Jacob was the Head of Account Management UKI at Thomson Reuters from November 2005 to September 2018. In this role, they were responsible for managing a team of account managers who serviced Thomson Reuters' clients in the UK and Ireland.
Before joining Thomson Reuters, Jacob was the Sales Manager Europe at EcoWin from June 2001 to November 2005. In this role, they were responsible for EcoWin's sales operations in Europe.
Jacob Koopmans attended the IESE Business School where they completed an Advance Management Program. Jacob also has a Master's degree in International Business from the University of Groningen.
