Shama Parveen

Shama Parveen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in environmental ethics and policy. Currently serving as a Member of the IUCN Expert Commission For Environment, Economic and Social Policy since June 2023, Shama has also held the role of Project Head and Research Assistant at Kognoz since March 2020. Previous experience includes working as a Personality Development Coach at NavGurukul from March 2022 to April 2023, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher from March 2019 to March 2023. Shama Parveen's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Ethics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, where studies focused on the Human and Nature Interface in Ecological Ethics, and a strong foundation in Philosophy with degrees from Lady Shri Ram College For Women and Hindu College, University of Delhi.
