Roel Pot has extensive work experience in the field of data management and analytics. Roel is currently the Head of Data & Analytics at Vopak, where they are responsible for leading data architecture, data academy, and MDM and DQ activities. Prior to their current role, they held the position of Global Data Manager at Vopak, where they focused on creating impact through data management and driving digital transformation.
Before joining Vopak, Roel worked at NN Investment Partners as a Data Architect and Business Data Analyst. In these roles, they led data warehousing activities, improved the functionality of the data hub, and was involved in planning, requirements analysis, and functional design.
Their earlier experience includes working at Sogeti Netherlands as a Business Data Analyst and Data Engineer. In these positions, Roel worked on various analyst activities, migration strategies, data analysis, and solving data quality issues for clients. Roel also worked on design and development activities for management information applications, including dimensional modeling, ETL flows, and report development.
Throughout their career, Roel has demonstrated a strong expertise in data management, architecture, and analytics, contributing to the success of the organizations they have worked with.
Roel Pot completed their MSc in Technology Management at the University of Groningen from 2001 to 2007. In 2005 to 2006, they pursued Technology Management at Lund University. In 2007, Roel took a business course at Ohio University. Roel obtained a Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP) certification from Cibit in 2011. Later in 2014, they gained insights into influence through a program at Bureau Zuidema. Roel has additional certifications in Strategy Implementation from Coursera, Strategy Formulation from Coursera Course Certificates, and Strategic Management from Copenhagen Business School, obtained in various months and years.
