Gopi Samudrala has extensive experience in physics and materials science research. Gopi started their career in 2005 as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Gopi then worked as a Research Assistant, focusing on Single crystal Diamond growth and studying the effects of various parameters on diamond growth by CVD. Following this, they worked as a Post Doctoral Fellow, where they developed diamond films for electronic and optical applications and studied the behavior of heavy rare earth metals under high pressures. In their most recent role at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, they served as a Research Associate, conducting research in various areas of physics and materials science. Gopi developed designer anvil technology and explored the parameter space to improve diamond growth rate and quality. Currently, Gopi Samudrala works as a Test Engineer at Kurt J. Lesker Company.
Gopi Samudrala completed a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Physics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 2005 to 2009.
