Todd R. Smith

Todd R. Smith has a diverse work experience in the field of global trade compliance and supply chain management. Todd R. is the Founder CEO of KYG Trade™, a SaaS platform and global marketplace that utilizes blockchain technology for trade attestations. Todd R. is also the Founding Chairman of OriginBX Oasis Open Project, working on developing international data standards for trade attestations. Prior to these roles, Todd worked at EY as a Principal, Global Trade, where they were responsible for managing US and global customs audits, negotiations with customs agencies, and implementing blockchain technology for trade management systems. Todd R. also served as a Principal, Global Trade at KPMG US, where they gained extensive expertise in tariff classification and tax-efficient supply chain planning.

Todd R. Smith obtained a BBA degree in Finance from the Texas McCombs School of Business, where they studied from 1982 to 1986. In addition, they have obtained several certifications including being a Licensed Customs Broker from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection in 2011, a Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer from the International Trade Certification Authority in December 2009, and a Certified Customs Specialist from the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America, Inc. in 2006.
