Erik Karlson

Erik Karlson is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in information technology and security. Since May 2003, Erik has served as the Chief Technology Officer for Lake County, where key responsibilities include developing technology roadmaps and optimizing enterprise architecture, while managing a $7M budget to drive digital transformation. Previous roles at Lake County include Information Security Officer, where Erik enhanced network security through a new cyber security program, and Service Delivery Manager, overseeing a team to deliver high-quality IT services. Erik's earlier career includes positions as a Senior System Administrator at Lasalle Bank, Sales Engineer at Mirapoint, and System Engineer at both ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and IBM, showcasing a robust background in system management and sales engineering. Erik holds a degree in Economics, Marketing, and Business Administration from North Park University.
