Pamela A. Hess

Dean of the School of Equine Studies, Associate Professor of Equine Studies at Lake Erie College

Pamela A. Hess, D.V.M. is the Dean of the School of Equine Studies and Associate Professor of Equine Studies at Lake Erie College. She earned her Bachelors of Animal Science degree at the University of Kentucky and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. Dr. Hess completed a one-year Internship in Equine Medicine and Surgery at Kansas State University and a three-year Residency in Equine Internal Medicine at the University of California at Davis's School of Veterinary Medicine. She taught Equine Internal Medicine at Oklahoma State's College of Veterinary Medicine from 1992 through 1995 before moving back to her Ohio home. From 1996 to 2012 she owned and operated Western Reserve Equine Medical Services, Inc. where she practiced equine and camelid veterinary medicine. In 2009 she joined the faculty of Lake Erie College and became the Dean of the School of Equine Studies in 2012.
