Sean Colt

Sean Colt has more than 20 years of work experience in various IT roles. Sean began their career at Digex as an ISA, managing e-commerce servers and leading a build team. Sean then moved on to Markettools, where they worked as an Infrastructure Engineer, providing comprehensive support for the company's internet presence. Sean later joined Galileo Laboratories as the IS Administration/Management, handling every aspect of the IT department.

At County Bank, Sean served as the Network and Systems Manager, responsible for supporting computer operations and overseeing remote branches and data centers. Sean then joined American Red Cross as the Director of IT, where they designed and implemented a Terminal Server infrastructure and revamped data centers.

Sean went on to work at Manteca Unified School District as the Director of IT, managing a large staff and providing support for a wide range of IT functions. Sean then joined Dell as a Service Delivery Manager, responsible for C-level relationships and managing major public accounts.

In 2009, Sean became the Director of IT for Belmont-Redwood Shores School District, where they handled all IT-related aspects and oversaw multiple sites. Sean then briefly served as the Chief Technology Officer at Laguna Beach Unified School District. Currently, Sean is the Director of Information Technology at Lake Tahoe Unified School District.

Sean Colt completed their education in a variety of fields and levels. Sean obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Secondary Education from Boise State University, attending from 1988 to 1995. Prior to this, they earned their high school diploma from Borah High School in 1988. In 2005, they pursued an MBA in International Business, completing it at the Craig School of Business. Sean enrolled at California State University, Fresno for this program. Additionally, they participated in several certification programs, including the CASBO CBO Certificate from CASBO in 2012 and the CTO Certificate from CETPA in the same year. Sean also completed the CBO Mentor Program at USC and the CTO Mentor Program at CETPA in 2011-2012. Sean acquired multiple certifications in various technology-related fields, such as ONSSI Certification from On-Net Surveillance Systems, Inc (now Qognify Inc) in 2018, Palo Alto ACE from Palo Alto Networks in 2016, CCNA from Cisco in 2000, and others.
