Dr. Florian Dirks

Dr. Florian Dirks currently serves as the Beauftragter für Kulturgutschutz im Notfallverbund Verden since August 2024 and has led the Kreisarchiv Verden (Aller) since October 2018. Dr. Dirks has a diverse background in historical research, having held positions as a historian at various institutions, including a role as a visiting research fellow at Trinity College Dublin in January 2018. Dr. Dirks completed a doctoral degree in Medieval History at Universität Erfurt between 2010 and 2013, following a Magister Artium in History, German Studies, and Cultural Studies from the University of Bremen (2004-2009). Additional experience includes post-doctoral research at the Deutsches Schiffahrtsmuseum and Universität Hamburg, along with various teaching and research roles throughout the academic sector.
