Lucas Schneider has over 15 years of experience in medical device research and development. Lucas began their career in 2005 as a Design Assurance Intern at St. Jude Medical. In 2007, they joined Covidien (Medtronic Minimally Invasive Therapies Group) as a R&D Engineer, where they were responsible for component design and R&D on product line expansions and next generation systems. Lucas was later promoted to Senior Development Engineer, where they contributed to the development and design of non-invasive plaque excision catheter systems. In 2014, Lucas moved to LivaNova as a Project Engineer, where they were promoted to Principal Engineer and then R&D Program Manager. In 2020, they joined Boston Scientific as a Fellow, R&D, where they were a technical leader and contributor on a multi-catheter delivery system. Most recently, Lucas was appointed as the Director of R&D and Sr. R&D Program Manager at Laplace Interventional in 2021.
Lucas Schneider attended the University of Minnesota from 2002 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in both Biomedical Engineering and Material Science and Engineering.
