Marcus Bauser

Marcus Bauser is an experienced leader in medicinal chemistry and drug design, currently serving as Senior Director and Head of Discovery Sciences at LEO Pharma since September 2022. Prior to this role, Bauser held multiple senior director positions at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, where responsibilities included overseeing the oncology discovery portfolio. Bauser's extensive tenure at Bayer spanned over two decades, during which key roles included Director of Medicinal Chemistry for oncology and contrast media, as well as leadership in analytics and physicochemistry. Bauser's academic credentials include a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Tübingen and an MBA from FOM Essen.
