Michelle Taylor has extensive experience in the field of information technology. Michelle started their career as a computer programmer at Florida State University in 1982 and eventually became an IT manager in 1989. From 1994 to 1997, they served as an IT director at the same institution. In 1997, they joined Leon County Government and held various roles, including director of IT operations and network & technical services manager. Currently, they are the chief information officer at Leon County Government.
Michelle Taylor's education history begins in 1983 when they attended Thomas College and earned an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Michelle then went on to pursue their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from Florida State University, graduating in 1989. After some time in the workforce, Michelle returned to Florida State University to earn their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science, completing their studies in 1997. Finally, they attended the John Scott Dailey Florida Institute of Government at Florida State University in 2014 and 2015 to obtain certification as a Government Chief Information Officer.
