Serena Fernandez

Serena Fernandez, PhD, is a highly skilled molecular biologist with extensive experience in assay development and research. Currently serving as a Senior Assay Development Scientist at LEX Diagnostics and a Molecular Biologist at TTP plc since February 2020, Serena has contributed to various projects in molecular and cell biology. Previous roles include postdoctoral researcher positions at the University of Leicester, focusing on spindle assembly checkpoint activation and cytoskeletal dynamics during epithelial-mesenchymal transition. Early career experiences involved research and administrative roles related to cancer studies and home care for older adults. Serena holds a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biotechnology from Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli, as well as a Master's Degree in Molecular Pathology and Toxicology and a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Biochemistry, both from the University of Leicester.
