Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a robust background in electronics and firmware development. Since July 2010, Chris has been part of a cross-functional team at SMART Technologies, contributing to the development of innovative hardware and firmware for DViT interactive whiteboards and related educational devices. Prior experience includes working as an electronics contractor for the Science Alberta Foundation, focusing on electronics design for educational tools, and serving as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary, where Chris supported engineering laboratory courses. Earlier roles include electronics engineering at Grindcom, where Chris developed control systems for the forestry industry. Chris holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
