Chris Lang has over 30 years of experience in the technology industry. Chris started their career in 1989 as a Network Engineer/Developer at NCMS, where they worked until 1993. Chris then joined Technology Integration, Inc as a Consultant/Software Developer until 1996. During this time, they gained expertise in software development and consulting.

In 1996, Chris joined Microsoft as a Software Design Engineer, working on various mapping components for products like Streets & Trips and MapPoint. Chris continued working at Microsoft until 2005, where they were promoted to SDE Lead and led the development of MapPoint.NET, one of the first production .NET Web Services.

From 2005 to 2010, Chris took a break from the corporate world and owned and managed a lounge called ToST Lounge. In 2010, they co-founded WhereVantage and served as the CTO. Chris was responsible for market discovery and product definition and also designed and implemented the iOS Field Day app.

In 2012, Chris joined Facebook as a Software Engineer and worked on various teams. Chris was involved in the creation of the Camera Effects Platform team, where they designed and implemented the data model for adding effects to photos and videos. Chris also worked on the Identity team, owning the "Login with Facebook" feature used by millions of users.

In 2018, Chris joined Lyft as a Staff Engineer/Tech Lead, leading the Test Platforms team and owning the test infrastructure across the company. Chris mentored engineers and was recognized as an expert in testing tools and practices.

Currently, Chris is working at Lime as a Staff Software Engineer, starting in 2023.

Chris Lang attended the University of Michigan from 1989 to 1993, where they received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) in Computer Engineering.
